We will start to begin rolling out ircd-darenet 1.4.1, the next release in our server software, today and through the rest of the week. This will result in some restarts, causing a few netsplits, each of which should last no longer than a couple of minutes. First, let me start by saying this is *not* an April Fool's joke. :) We've recently updated the services running on the production network to release 1.4.2 of services-darenet. While this minor point release mostly dealt with fixing bugs and improving the code base, we did include a few new features, which include: ChanServ - SET SIGNKICK. This option allows channel owner's to determine who will have their nickname included in the kick reason when they use ChanServ's KICK command. See /msg ChanServ HELP SET SIGNKICK for more details.
- When a user joins a +D channel, their infoline is not shown since their join isn't shown either.
NickServ
- SET MOBILE. Users can now attach a mobile phone number to their account. Currently this allows users to opt-in receiving SMS notifications whenever they receive a new memo. We plan to expand it to other uses in the near future. See /msg NickServ HELP SET MOBILE for more details.
MemoServ - SET NOTIFYSMS. As mentioned above, users with a mobile phone number attached to their account can opt-into receving SMS notifications whenever someone sends them a memo on DareNET. See /msg MemoServ HELP SET for more details.
