If you were directed to this page after being disconnected from DareNET, it's likely an open proxy was found on your IP address.
Why don't you allow open proxies?
Unfortunately misconfigured proxies are commonly used to attack, annoy and cause disruptions to channels and the network itself, since they allow anyone to use them without any sort of authentication. This is why we don't allow them, to protect our users from those who would seek to abuse such proxies.
How can I fix this?
Due to there being many different types of proxy software, we recommend you consult your software's manual for instructions on how to properly configure it. You will need to make sure that your proxy is configured to only allow the IP addresses within your network to access it. Proxies that don't allow external access are considered "secure" and can be used to connect to DareNET.
I'm not using any proxy software, but I'm still being disconnected
It's likely a trojan or virus has infected your system. We recommend you perform a full virus or malware scan with up-to-date definitions.
When can I reconnect?
Your ban should expire after 30 minutes to an hour. If you have properly configured your proxy, you'll be able to reconnect to DareNET once the ban has expired. If it's still misconfigured, you will be banned again. These types of bans are automated and are not eligible for early removal.
